Bienvenidos

Welcome to Oaxaca Restaurant.

For more than three decades, Oaxaca Restaurant has been a place where families and friends can sit down, share a meal, and enjoy the flavors of Oaxaca’s Valles Centrales. The purpose has always been simple: prepare the food properly and create a place where people feel welcome around the table.

La Cocina

La Cocina Oaxaqueña

Moles, tlayudas, handmade tortillas, and the dishes that define the cooking of Oaxaca’s Valles Centrales.

Oaxacan cooking takes time. Chiles are toasted or fried, ingredients are ground carefully, and sauces are worked until the flavor is right. From mole and tlayudas to molcajetes, caldos, mariscos, and breakfast, each dish is prepared with the patience and attention the food requires.

The Bar

A drink, a table, a reason to stay.

Pair your meal with a cold beer, margarita, michelada, or another house favorite. Good food deserves the right drink beside it—and a table worth staying at.

Our Story

Rooted in Oaxaca. Growing in Fresno.

The restaurant began with a desire to bring the food of Oaxaca’s Valles Centrales to Fresno and prepare it the way it should be. What started with a difficult opening in an unfamiliar city grew, little by little, into a place families have returned to for more than three decades.
